...for entry and even medium level enthusiasts! Maybe professionals might find it lacking here and there... But exceptional value for money, with 520 pencils (at some point, one can't really tell whether or not there are duplicates), soft, but durable lead, highly pigmented from low to high pressure, decent layering (up to 3 layers), lightfastness to show with time, inclusion of metallics (60, by my count) and fluorescents (24). It also comes with a DIY swatch chart, but don't expect accuracy in terms pencil spectrum colour order in the tin box or on the swatch chart, so I will reorganise them as I wish, which is also serving my mild OCD! :D I bought the set on Temu with even more discount and it was shipped on land in 3-4 weeks, but delivered in perfect condition! The honest colouring enthusiast rating would be between a 4, based on metallics not really being metallic, still need to test fluorescents under UV light, sort of random colour palette order, flimsy plastic pencil holding trays in the tin box which make access to specific pencils quite difficult and might require organizers, which I also bought on Temu :D But, with the correct price for the actual pencil set and accessories, it's a guaranteed 5-star purchase! Highly recommend!
This is the fourth set of Kalour Pencil I have purchased. I bought the 72 last year and loved the beautiful colors and the range of shades and tints. The pencils blend beautifully and are an amazing pencil at a fantastic price point. I use these everyday and the 520 are a dream. I would recommend these to anyone looking for rich color and quality.
The sets of colors are nice. All the racks should have lifting bands. Only erases with a kneaded eraser. Should come with appropriate eraser. Okay to sharpen.
